Courage Virtual Auction

This Youth Day (16 June) we were thrilled to be part of an incredible initiative that is making a huge difference in our local Cape Town community.

The Courage Initiative was born out of crisis and the need to stand together as one in order to triumph. They bring together heroes, communities and NGOs to work in solidarity to overcome difficult times. Their focus is on pooling people, funding and resources in the most cost-effective and impactful way to address the most dire needs of affected communities.

We donated various prizes to the virtual auction and needless to say overall, it was a great success.

The Youth Day virtual live auction garnered a whopping R2,655,992.00

An immense achievement that will bring courage and hope to a community in need. The Last Word is proud to be one of their Wanderlust Warriors who formed part of the donors of the incredible auction. A big thank you to all of the bidders as well, this was all made possible by your generosity.  From this, 100% of the monies goes to a monumental feeding programme to support the most vulnerable of families during COVID-19 Lockdown in South Africa.
