Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts

International acts take to the stage along with local bands. If you’re in Cape Town on a Sunday between November and April, gather your picnic baskets, friends, and family, and enjoy the best music South Africa has to offer in the shade of Table Mountain.

What you need to know -

Kirstenbosch was the first botanical garden in the world to be devoted to a country’s indigenous flora. The beds are filled with the glorious fynbos plants found nowhere else in the world.

The concert stage is at the base of a natural amphitheatre, and concert-goers sit on the lawns with their picnic baskets, local wine and snacks waiting for the show to start. Come a little early so you can get a good spot and enjoy the views before the music begins.

The vibe is relaxed, an easy Sunday afternoon surrounded by natural beauty. The concerts are family friendly and very casual. Sit and sip on wine whilst enjoying the concert or stand a dance along to the music.

Some food is on sale but most people will bring along their own snacks and drinks.
